Basketball in March: It’s Madness

Each year, 64 of the best teams in college basketball come together to take part in March Madness. A platform for high-seed dominance and Cinderella stories, the tournament is filled with great games and school spirit, culminating in the exhilarating Final Four in Houston, Texas. The tournament begins March 15.
Villanova’s one-two punch of guards Jalen Brunson and Ryan Arcidiacono, along with Jay Wright’s experience and leadership, makes them a clear favorite to win it all.”  -Dave Kennedy ’17

UNC has the potential to win the whole tournament as long as they can keep all their players healthy. When Marcus Paige and Brice Johnson are both playing their best, this is an unbeatable Carolina team.” -Lena Gerritz ’17

“Kris Dunn is sick and he always shows up during crunch time.  That along with Ben Bentil’s strong play makes Providence an interesting underdog in the tournament.”  -Drew Nolan ’16

Oklahoma is unstoppable because Buddy Hield is the best player in the country.”  -Edens Fleurizard ’16

Kansas is going to win because they have both good outside shooting and a strong inside presence.”  -Ben Elbaum ’17

LSU, because I love Cinderella stories.”  -Colby Gardner ’16

Maryland has a deep bench but in order for them to be successful Melo Trimble needs to be on his game.” -Lauren Antonelli ’16

“There is no way any team is going to be able to beat Iowa.  They are just too good.”  -Cooper Pettit ’17
